SU1X is designed to easily configure any Windows PC to automatically work on an IEEE 802.11g wireless network. It takes advantage of Windows’ automatic discovery and connection capabilities. Once SU1X is running, simply enter the WEP or WPA/WPA2 key for the wireless network, select the desired channel (frequency), and that’s it.
Easy customization:
SU1X also lets you customize all of the settings for the wired Ethernet and wireless network adapter on your Windows PC. This lets you configure the settings for each adapter individually, or for both adapters at once, or for all adapters at once.
IEEE 802.11g Configuration (default):
• Wireless network adapter: set WEP/WPA security for wireless network
• Wired network adapter: set IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, DNS server
Customization:
• Wireless network adapter: set WEP/WPA security for wireless network
• Wired network adapter: set IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, DNS server, Enable auto-configuration
SU1X is designed with mass deployment and easy customization in mind. The goal of this document is to explain how to get started with SU1X and where to go from here. It’s a little bit of a computer science subject, but if you want to get started quickly and easily, this is a great way to do it.

Installing SU1X:
SU1X can be installed as a service or as a stand-alone application. To use SU1X as a service, you need to run the SU1X service from the command line, using the command start SU1X (Windows XP) or start SU1X.bat (Windows Vista). SU1X can also be installed as a stand-alone application. The executable files are available in the SU1X folder in the SU1X install folder. See

In order to make your life a little easier when using this tool, you can access
the following macro keystrokes in the “Label” window.
Please note that these macro keystrokes will do what they are described as doing,
but you should still double check your setting after each setting to make sure it is correct.
Note: You must use a physical number (0-9) keypad or use the “label” menu option to enter numbers.

Creating new host profiles
1. In the “Label” window: Click on the “Label” button.
2. Click on the “New” button to create a new label.
3. Enter the host label in the “Name” text box.
4. Click on the “Save” button.
5. In the “Label” window: Check the box “Enable Label”.
**NOTE:** If you select the “Enable label” checkbox, you may not be able to modify this label at a later time.
Creating existing host profiles
1. In the “Label” window: Click on the “Label” button.
2. Click on the “Open” button to open a list of existing labels.
3. Click on the label name to open the label.
4. Click on the “Delete” button to delete the label.
5. Click on the “Save” button to save your changes.
6. Click on the “New” button to create a new label.
**NOTE:** If you select the “Enable label” checkbox, you may not be able to modify this label at a later time.
